Burleta has enjoyed this industry for 35 years, working in management with subsidized and conventional properties. Her husband, daughter and son are also in this industry. She has been actively involved with The Greater Nashville Apartment Association for the past 10 years, serving on many board positions. Since 2003 she has held the position of Business Manager at Stewart’s Ferry Apartments and Town Homes with Fogelman Management Group. In her fun time she enjoys their lake cabin, time with grandchildren and her chocolate lab “Jamoca.”

Shelly James

Shelley James, CAM, is an accomplished property management professional who has worked in the apartment industry since 1989. She joined RAM Partners in 2006 and is responsible for managing a portfolio of properties in Tennessee. Before joining RAM Partners, Shelley served as a multi-site manager for a national management company and has managed properties in Tennessee and Alabama. Her experience includes new construction lease ups, overseeing renovation projects and mixed-use developments. Shelley has a multi-faceted background in real estate, marketing and human resources and has been awarded several top honors for her professional service to the industry. Shelley is currently the Co-Chair of Governance.

February 2012 will mark a milestone anniversary for Tammy - 21 amazing years in this industry she calls home, a.k.a. Property Management. It all started right here in Nashville in 1991 when she took a job as a leasing consultant for Schatten Properties. Her daughter Chelsea was born that year and she was totally focused on beginning a new life, one which included a promising career. She continued to lease until 1998 when she accepted an Assistant Manager’s position then quickly transitioned into the role of the Community Manager a short two months later. As they say…“She never looked back”. She has been blessed to work with and for some amazing people in this industry, including two of our very own GNAA Past Presidents. She has been a member of the GNAA for almost as long as she has been in the industry. Elected to the Board of Directors as a Management Director in 2009, she has served as the Apartment Tour Committee Chair two years and she has served as the Golf Committee Co-Chair as well as enjoyed participation in various other committees including Community Service and Beautification. Currently she is the Co-Chair of Communications.

As Regional Manager for NTS Development Company, Stacy Garcia is responsible for NTS’ Tennessee portfolio consisting of more than 1,000 units. Stacy has over 16 years experience in the multifamily industry, having supervised a variety of multifamily owned and fee managed assets. Stacy has served on GNAA’s Board of Directors for over 10 years and during her tenure has served as a co-chair on the education, directory and publications committees.
